Obispo ordinario: En la Iglesia católica y anglicana es equivalente de obispo diocesano, eso es, aquel obispo al que compete en la diócesis que se le ha confiado toda la potestad ordinaria, propia e inmediata que se requiere para el prueba de su función pastoral, exceptuadas aquellas causas que por el derecho o por decreto del papa se reserven a la autoridad suprema o a otra autoridad eclesiástica.

Programs, techniques, and gimmicks may cause church attendance to increase, but only God adds souls to the kingdom of God. Only new spiritual life by faith in Jesus Christ and spiritually maturing saints are important. Attendance is secondary.

They were also committed to teaching through the entire Bible. This might require that the congregation be re-educated about the priority of the pastor’s ministry, since some Christians want the short messages – sermonettes. They love being busy but not with the Word of God. What does he want to do and what does he do? A pastor merienda bragged that he only needed an afternoon to prepare six messages, and frequently he would speak without any or with little preparation. He had a gift for public speaking and years of practice. His sermons were positive and many loved his enthusiasm. The apostle Paul has these words for us,

The passage says that if the elder does not stop sinning, he is to be rebuked in front of the congregation. At this point, it is implied that the elder is removed from office. Notice that the passage does not say this is the exclusive responsibility of the elders. But it is implied that elders are responsible for performing this action due to Hebrews 13:17.

The references are usually positive because the potential pastor supplied names of friends and others who think highly of him. Even those who have concerns about the man might think that a different environment, or a different setting may be the very thing the man needs in order to grow. Rarely does anyone want to give a negative evaluation of an individual looking for a job. Eventually, the church might ask him to be their siervo de Dios pastor if he outperforms the other candidates. The process Gozque potentially become a competition, rather than a search for the Lord’s will in the life of the pastor and the church.

Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me . . . Jeremiah 9:23-24

The key thought is to not sharply rebuke. Paul warns us to be gentle in our dealings with everyone, including false teachers. In the situation we are discussing, that includes pastors who teach error.
